U-SOLVE in Cyprus has wrapped up its highly successful capacity-building activities. Over the course of four months, from July to October 2023, a series of lectures, workshops, and trainings lasting a total of 80 hours were held, aimed at empowering youth and women entrepreneurs. These activities were part of the U-SOLVE project and were open not only to individuals who had submitted successful business proposals but also to anyone interested in participating.

Offered in both Greek and English, the majority of the capacity-building activities were available in online, in-person, or hybrid formats, ensuring accessibility for a wider audience. The courses covered a wide range of topics, including research and applicable techniques for commercialization, business acceleration trainings, and a mock pitching event for evaluating techniques and pinpointing areas for improvement.

A total of 63 participants took part in these enriching activities, and it is worth noting that there was significant representation from 36 women and 42 young (24-35 y/o) individuals. This achievement underscores the success of the U-SOLVE project in attracting and serving a diverse range of entrepreneurs in the region.

Expressing their satisfaction with the outcome, the organizers highlighted the passion, individuality, and creativity demonstrated by all the participants. The success of this capacity-building initiative sets a promising precedent for future endeavors in fostering entrepreneurship and innovation.
