The UNDP Jordan country office, MED4EBM lead beneficiary, seeks to recruit a project communication advisor under MED4EBM Project to enhance visibility, donors’ and recipients’ satisfaction and outreach to the local stakeholders. The individual consultant will effectively integrate in the MED4EBM project team and in the Environment, Climate Change and DRR Portfolio’ focusing on Projects’ Implementation in the Coastal and Marine Ecosystems.

GreenBuilding in Jordan installed the window shades to prevent energy loss
The Greater Irbid Municipality, GreenBuilding Jordanian partner, is completing the activities and works for the renovation of the municipality building.
The municipality has previously worked to replace all lighting units inside the building with energy-saving LEDs, and has also replaced all air conditioners with inverter, in addition to installing motion sensors between lighting units and air conditioners, installing solar water heaters and air locks.
GreenBuilding in Tunisia reduces the cost of hot water at a university hospital in Manouba
At the Mohamed Kassab Orthopaedic Institute, the Tunisian university hospital being renovated through GreenBuilding project, 8 solar water heaters were installed in February 2023. The energy sub-meters have been also placed to monitor the energy flows.
GreenBuilding participated in the Arab Forum of Sustainable Development!
On March 14-16, 2023, representatives from the Greater Irbid Municipality, Jordanian partner of the GreenBuilding project, participated in the Arab Forum of Sustainable Development in Beirut, Lebanon.
Tunisia: GreenBuilding organised first training session for the energy management of public buildings
On 17th March 2023, the Management Company of Borj cedria Techno Park, Tunisian partner in the GreenBuilding project, organised a training session for the technical staff at Mohamed Kassab Orthopaedic Institute focusing on the energy management of the building. This building has been selected as the pilot one to implement energy efficiency measures.

Med4Waste will accompany M'Saken (Tunisia) in the development of a waste management plan that responds to its current needs
Urban waste management is an issue of growing concern in cities and towns in the Mediterranean region, and Tunisia is no exception. In the northeastern city of M'Saken, the local government is taking steps to improve its waste management system. Currently, the city faces several challenges, such as the absence of a waste management and recovery plan, the lack of a source separation system and the absence of a transfer centre.
