FACES AND PLACES OF THE MEDITERRANEAN
An exhibition by ENI CBC MED Programme
Through this exhibition, the EU-funded “ENI CBC MED” Programme aims to celebrate the richness, diversity and common identity of the Mediterranean region. The selected photos represent people and places from the countries involved in the Programme and highlight some of the most relevant challenges that unite us beyond borders in the Mediterranean: empowerment of young people and women, training and job creation, SMEs competitiveness, better management of natural resources, enhancement of cultural heritage, sustainable agri-food production, climate change adaptation and mitigation, etc. With 80 funded projects, we strive to make the Mediterranean a better place for all.
The exhibition was inaugurated in Valencia, Spain in the framework of the Day of the Mediterranean on the 29th of November 2022 and is meant to be displayed in other locations of the Mediterranean and beyond throughout 2023.
VISAGES ET LIEUX DE LA MÉDITERRANÉE
Une exposition du Programme IEV CTF MED
À travers cette exposition, le Programme « IEV CTF MED », financé par l'UE, vise à célébrer la richesse, la diversité et l'identité commune de la région méditerranéenne. Les photos sélectionnées représentent des personnes et des lieux des pays impliqués dans le Programme et mettent en lumière certains des défis les plus pertinents qui nous unissent au-delà des frontières en Méditerranée : autonomisation des jeunes et des femmes, formation et création d'emploi, compétitivité des PME, meilleure gestion des ressources naturelles, valorisation du patrimoine culturel, production agroalimentaire durable, adaptation et atténuation du changement climatique, etc. Avec 80 projets financés, nous travaillons pour faire de la Méditerranée un meilleur endroit pour tous.
L'exposition a été inaugurée à Valence en Espagne dans le cadre de la Journée de la Méditerranée le 29 novembre 2022 et est destinée à être présentée dans d'autres endroits de la Méditerranée et au-delà tout au long de 2023.

من خلال هذا المعرض، يهدف برنامج "ENI CBC MED" الممول من الاتحاد الأوروبي إلى الاحتفال بالثراء والتنوع والهوية المشتركة لمنطقة البحر الأبيض المتوسط. تمثل الصور المختارة أشخاصًا وأماكن من الدول المشاركة في البرنامج وتسلط الضوء على بعض التحديات الأكثر صلة التي توحدنا خارج حدود البحرالمتوسط: تمكين الشباب والنساء، التدريب وخلق فرص العمل ، القدرة التنافسية للشركات الصغيرة والمتوسطة ، إدارة أفضل للموارد الطبيعية ، تعزيز التراث الثقافي ، الإنتاج الزراعي الغذائي المستدام ، التكيف مع تغير المناخ والتخفيف من حدته ، وما إلى ذلك. من خلال 80 مشروعًا ممولًا ، نسعى لجعل منطقة البحر المتوسط مكانًا أفضل للجميع.
افتتح المعرض في مدينة فالنسيا في إسبانيا كجزء من فعالية للإحتفال بيوم البحر الأبيض المتوسط في 29 نوفمبر 2022 ومن المقررعرضه في مواقع أخرى عبر البحر الأبيض المتوسط وذلك خلال عام 2023.
ENGLISH: Ishaq Al-Hroub is an avid collector of clothes, instruments and other items from the Palestinian tradition. With the support of CROSSDEV project, Ishaq has opened the ‘Al Reef Palestinian Museum’ in Deir Samit, Hebron to share his unique collection with locals and tourists alike.

Project CROSSDEV “Cultural Routes for Sustainable Social and economic Development in Mediterranean”
FRANÇAIS : Ishaq Al-Hroub est un collectionneur passionné de vêtements, d'instruments et d'autres objets de la tradition palestinienne. Avec le soutien du projet CROSSDEV, Ishaq a ouvert le « Musée palestinien d'Al Reef » à Deir Samit, Hébron, pour partager sa collection unique aussi bien avec les locaux que les touristes.

ENGLISH: As part of the 2020 edition of the ‘Clean Up The Med’ campaign, the Tunisian team of COMMON project supported by numerous volunteers organised a clean-up action in the port of Monastir. In just a few hours, a significant quantity of waste was collected, including plastic bottles, car tires, cans and other type of marine litter.

Project COMMON “COastal Management and MOnitoring Network for tackling marine litter in Mediterranean sea”
FRANÇAIS : Dans le cadre de l'édition 2020 de la campagne « Clean Up The Med », l'équipe tunisienne du projet COMMON soutenue par de nombreux bénévoles a organisé une opération nettoyage dans le port de Monastir. En quelques heures, une quantité importante de déchets a été collectée, notamment des bouteilles en plastique, des pneus, des canettes et d'autres types de déchets marins.

ENGLISH: Within YEP MED project, the Beirut Chamber of Commerce organized a visit for young Lebanese trainees to the Port of Beirut where they got introduced to diverse port facilities, operations and terminal services. In spite of the Beirut explosion in 2020, the Port of Beirut is still considered among the top 10 seaports in the Mediterranean Sea.

Project YEP MED “YOUTH EMPLOYMENT IN PORTS OF THE MEDITERRANEAN”
FRANÇAIS : Dans le cadre du projet YEP MED, la Chambre de commerce de Beyrouth a organisé une visite pour des jeunes stagiaires libanais au port de Beyrouth où ils ont pu voir les diverses installations portuaires, les opérations et les services du terminal. Malgré l'explosion du port de Beyrouth en août 2020, ce port est toujours considéré parmi les 10 premiers ports maritimes de la Méditerranée.

ENGLISH: Female members of ‘Institut de l'Olivier’ in Sfax, Tunisia, cheer for FruitFlyNet-ii project. The initiative aims to develop digital tools for farmers to monitor the olive fruit fly and medfly pests, estimated to be responsible for damaging up to 10 % of the olive production in Tunisia. Project FruitFlyNet-ii “Commercialization of an Automated Monitoring and Control System against the Olive and Med Fruit Flies of the Mediterranean Region”
FRANÇAIS : Des femmes membres de l'Institut de l'Olivier à Sfax, en Tunisie participent au projet FruitFlyNet-ii. L'initiative vise à développer des outils numériques permettant aux agriculteurs de surveiller la mouche méditerranéenne des fruits et la mouche de l'olive. Elle ravage jusqu'à 10 % de la production d'olives en Tunisie. Les solutions mises en œuvre peuvent réduire l'utilisation de pesticides et aider les agriculteurs à prendre de meilleures décisions en matière de pulvérisation.

Projet FruitFlyNet-ii « Commercialisation d'un système Automatisé de Surveillance et de Contrôle contre la Mouche de l’Olive et la Mouche Méditerranéenne des Fruits »

مجموعة نساء تعملن في معهد الزيتون في صفاقس ، تونس ، يشجعن مشروع FruitFlyNet-ii. تهدف المبادرة إلى تطوير أدوات رقمية للمزارعين لمراقبة آفات ذبابة ثمار الزيتون وآفات الذبابة المتوسطة ، والتي يُقدر أنها مسؤولة عن إتلاف ما يصل إلى 10٪ من إنتاج الزيتون في تونس. يمكن للحلول المنفذة أن تقلل من استخدام مبيدات الحشرات وتساعد المزارعين على اتخاذ قرارات رش أفضل.
