The Final Conference of PROSIM project and the Cross-Border Thematic field visit took place in Jordan on June 12-13, 2023 with the participation of PROSIM project partners and associated partners from Jordan, Tunisia, Spain and Egypt, respectively the National Agricultural Research Centre "NARC" in Jordan (PP1, host of both activities), the General Directorate of Rural Engineering and Water Exploitation in Tunisia (DGGREE ,PP3), the Centro de Edafología y Biología Aplicada del Segura in Spain (CEBAS ,PP4) and associated partner 1, the Agricultural Engineering Research Institute (AenRI) in Egypt, as well as the lead beneficiary, the Institute for University Cooperation (ICU).

The final conference was an opportunity to share the project results focusing on water use efficiency and non-conventional water use in the Mediterranean as well as creating synergies with other ENI CBC MED projects, in particularly with the Greenland project, and allowed the signature of a Memorandum of Understanding for PP1 in Jordan to promote cooperation and sustainable development with public and private stakeholders in light of the difficult economic crisis facing the country.  A round table and several discussions between the partners were also organized to capitalize the project results

Moreover, the field visit provided an opportunity to illustrate the results of the project on the field in Balqa with PROSIM project partners and water user associations.
