MedRiSSE in Tunisia closing event: INNOVED stimulates social entrepreneurship

Organized by MedRiSSE and marking the end of the Tunisian Center for Social Entrepreneurship project in the Mediterranean country, the INNOVED event gathered on 17th November 2023 various actors in the innovation ecosystem and social entrepreneurship, students and representatives of Tunisian universities.

The Tunisian national meeting, entitled "INNOVED: Alternative Education on Social Innovation”, was a fruitful exchange, where innovative ideas sprouted and essential synergies between stakeholders formed. The goal is to integrating social entrepreneurship into college education.

There were two sessions. The first one called “Collaboration and Advocacy for the Integration of Alternative Tools for Social Innovation Education” focused on the introduction of alternative educational tools on Social Innovation and the foster of networking activities through gamification methods with speed dating methodology. MedRiSSE policy brief “Promoting Social Entrepreneurship within Tunisia’s Educational System” was presented as a tool to be implemented as a policy advocacy activity.

In the afternoon session “Experimenting Alternative Tools for Social Innovation Education”, two different trainings were held with the aim of encouraging the integration of alternative education to university staff and CSO representatives. The Innoved Meeting demonstrated that innovation thrives in networks, underlining the crucial importance of collaboration in creating systemic change.

MedRISSE is the capitalization project ‘Replicable Innovations of SSE in the provision of services and creation of decent jobs in the post covid-19 crisis recovery’, cofunded by ENI CBC Med programme and Asamblea de Cooperación por la Paz (ACPP) with a 2-year implementation period finishing in November 2023.
