Under the patronage of Her Highness Princess Basma bint Ali and in the presence of His Excellency the Minister of Agriculture, the Ministry of Agriculture- the lead beneficiary of “ORGANIC ECOSYSTEM - Boosting cross border Organic Ecosystem through enhancing agro-food Alliances”, held a national event for organic agriculture during the period 23-24/5/2023, as part of the activities of the Project which funded by the European Union.

The event was attended by several government and private agencies with the presence of the Jordanian Vegetable and Fruit Exporters and Producers Association (JEPA) - the project's national partner.

The aim of this event was to increase awareness and knowledge among those interested in the organic sector in Jordan through discussion sessions on several topics related to organic agriculture such as the reality of organic agriculture locally and globally, legislations & certification bodies, plant disease control & natural extracts, fertilization, organic livestock, economies, and success stories. All these topics were presented by a number of experts and specialists over two days.

In addition to these discussion sessions, a group of organic operators and stakeholders presented their products and services, in order to introduce the participants to them and increase their knowledge

The event was considered successful by the attendance and participants who asked to make this event on yearly bases.
