In a bid to foster innovation and preserve cultural heritage, the Beirut Chamber of Commerce, iHERITAGE project partner, has demonstrated its unwavering commitment by organizing two empowering workshops on September 11th and 13th. These workshops, held at the Chamber's training center, were exclusively designed to benefit the 9 spin-off subgrantees who had been awarded funds as part of the EU-funded iHERITAGE project. Led by expert Evan Fakhoury, these workshops injected dynamic energy into the mission of these innovators, offering them invaluable insights and knowledge to enhance their projects.

Workshop 1: "Innovative Cultural Heritage Promotion"

The first workshop, which took place on September 11th, delved into a comprehensive range of topics, designed to enrich their understanding of how to effectively promote cultural heritage projects.

The workshop consisted of immersive sessions that covered marketing fundamentals and branding strategies, equipping subgrantees with the knowledge to establish a unique and compelling brand identity for their projects and reach a broader audience.

One of the highlights of the workshop was the exploration of the art of storytelling, where participants learned how storytelling could be harnessed as a powerful tool to engage and captivate audiences. Additionally, the workshop touched upon various educational approaches, offering insights into creating informative and enlightening experiences for the public.

Subgrantees were also introduced to strategies for forging meaningful partnerships that could further their projects and expand their reach. The workshop was enriched with real-world case studies that provided practical examples of successful cultural heritage promotion initiatives.

Workshop 2: "Prototype Development: From Concept to Reality"

The second workshop, held on September 13th, provided the subgrantees with a comprehensive roadmap for transforming their project ideas into tangible prototypes. The workshop emphasized the importance of building, testing, and scaling prototypes as a crucial step in the innovation process.

One of the cornerstones of this workshop was the focus on user testing fundamentals. Subgrantees learned how to gather user feedback effectively, ensuring that their prototypes were not only functional but also aligned with the needs and preferences of their target audience. Interactive activities were incorporated into the workshop to enhance the learning experience, encouraging hands-on experimentation and collaboration among participants.

The Beirut Chamber's dedication to fostering innovation and preserving cultural heritage within the iHERITAGE project is evident through these empowering workshops. By providing participants with knowledge, skills, and networks, the Chamber aims to propel their projects to new heights. The successful execution of these workshops signifies the Chamber's role as a catalyst for change and progress in the realm of cultural heritage and innovation.
