The ESMES Spanish partner, Consorci De La Ribera, organized two small local events to celebrate the end of the academic year and the completion of the ESMES project activities, presenting project results.

In the municipality of La Ribera (Valencia Region, Spain), 9 schools participated in the ESMES contest for the 2020-2021 school year:

  • CEIP Les Comes (L'Alcúdia);
  • CEIP Sanchis Guarner (La Pobla Llarga);
  • CEIP Emili Lluna (Alginet);
  • CEIP El Castell (Corbera);
  • CEIP Fèlix Olmos (Favara);
  • CEIP Sta Maria d'Aiguees Vives (La Barraca d'Aiguees Vives);
  • CEIP Sant Blai (Llaurí);
  • CEIP L'Alcocera (Polinyà del Xúquer), and;
  • CEIP Balmes (Guadassuar).

In July 2021, CRIB announced the winner of the school competition: after installing the electrical data collection devices and teaching students how to change their behavior to reduce energy consumption, the schools competed against each other to achieve the highest energy savings in their schools. The winner was CEIP El Castell (Corbera).

The main objective of this competition was to raise awareness in the education sector about the importance of sustainable energy behavior. The key to this competition was to encourage students in all schools to reduce their energy consumption. This was achieved by changing the general behavior of the school participants.

In this framework, and to celebrate the great work done by the schools, CRIB organized a first event on April 4th, 2023, at the Sports Center of the Municipality of Corbera, and a second event on June 16th, to celebrate the end of the scholar academic year and the conclusion of the ESMES project activities.

The two events were a good opportunity to meet the students and conclude the ESMES activities!

Congratulations to all the schools!!
