Energy efficiency: SEACAP 4 SDG partners presented the project's demo cases during a meeting hosted by IVE in Valencia

On Tuesday, July 11th 2023, at the Only You Hotel (Valencia, Spain) the second day of the Spanish dissemination event took place. The meeting was hosted by IVE - Instituto Valenciano de la Edificación (Valencian Edification Institute) partner of the SEACAP 4 SDG project, funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Med Programme. The event saw the participation of all the SEACAP 4 SDG project partners team and the representatives of the external entities involved in the supporting mechanisms.
An introductory speech was given by Mr. Massabo Bernard, Coordinator of the project (Nice Cote d’Azur, France) with an overview of the ongoing activities and results achieved so far by the project, as well as of the upcoming Interreg NEXT MED programme which will be officially launched in the coming months.
During the meeting, the demonstration cases set out by the project were presented by the responsible partner and/or external entities.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

First, Mrs. Souha Ferchichi (MEDREC, Tunisia), presented the development of the different Local Living Labs implemented for the Municipality of Bizerte, and the recent Green Nudge challenge organised for the National School of Architecture and Urbanism based in Tunis, which results will be presented shortly. These activities supported the Municipality in the customization of innovative and eco-sustainable energy renovation solutions.
Then, Mr. Yasser Gaber, from the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTM, Egypt) introduced the activity of energy efficiency on the secondary Technical School of the Alexandria Water Company.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mrs. Marion Perney from the external entity LUPT (Italy), presented the three local training sessions delivered by Anea and the University of Naples Federico II, with the involvement of the Municipality of Naples.
Mr. Hijazi Mohammad, from the LCEC team (Lebanon) presented the updated Seacap of the Jdeideh El Chouf municipality and the proposed mitigation actions to reach the goals of 2030. The team also presented the energy action plan/road map for the two selected buildings the Moukhtara Official highschool and the Development Service Center.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Mr. Omar Shahin (RSS/NERC, Jordan) gave an overview about the results of the in-person training sessions implemented in March 2023, with the objective of effectively implement the processes towards a more conscious energy conservation mindset in buildings.
Mrs. Panagiota Saranti, form the University of Patras (Greece), introduced a review of the local training sessions implemented in Aigialeia the past February 2023.
