NAWAMED and its legacy: the conclusion of a beautiful journey into water reuse and the start of new projects

After four years of dedication, collaboration and overcoming various challenges, NAWAMED has reached its zenith, marking a significant milestone in sustainable water management. The project, which began in 2019, has navigated through unforeseen obstacles, including the global COVID-19 pandemic. However, these challenges only served to strengthen the partnership, making the achievement even more commendable.

PPI4MED’s capacitation programme trained more than 200 students in the Mediterranean

PPI4MED’S training programme on Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) was designed in two phases: training of trainers, and national capacitation programme. This second phase had a general module, and one specific module, which was different for the two types of students: public officers and entities, which are the ones that have the capacity for buying innovation; and researchers, private companies and research property owners, in summary the sellers of innovation.

The PPI4MED Capacitation Programme in Spain reaches an end with more than 90 participants.

On September 2023, the PPI4MED training course on Public Procurement of Innovation (PPI) began in Spain, and more than 90 individuals from different organizations (private companies, research institutions, public administrations…) took part of it as students. These students were given access to a platform specifically developed for this training course, and there they could find all the content of the program that they were about to begin.

CARISMED presents it renovated building in Al-Zahra'a Park in Irbid (Jordan): A new space for youth

Future Pioneers from Jordan managed to implement the first pilot in Irbid for a Studio Lab using LCARS strategy to be a pilot model The location is an old building located in Al-Zahra'a Park in Irbid owned by Greater Irbid Municipality. Future Pioneers engineering team in cooperation with the trained SMEs and the municipality developed a strategy for the Low Cost Adaptive Reuse Measures (LCARS) which was implemented on ground in a joint effort resulting in a new attractive and innovative building which will be a creative educational space for the SMEs and youth in Irbid
