GIMED: 23 green ideas selected in Palestine to be turned into successful eco-innovative start-ups
In Palestine, twenty-three green solutions have been selected to receive training and turn their ideas into successful green start-ups. After a highly selective evaluation process headed by Leaders International, the GIMED’s Palestinian partner, innovators will receive the necessary training to grow their ideas and turn them into profitable businesses.
In this sense, the first capacity-building workshop just took place on the 27th of March, a first introductory session with the goal of making initial introductions among the cohort. It was useful to have an overview about the programme logistics and objectives and present The Switchers.org platform that is being used to conduct the workshops. In this first meeting, trainees were asked to define their mission and visions through summing up their objectives into a short statement.
In the context of the EU-funded ENI CBC MED Programme, Leaders International will build the capacities of these selected innovators through a 10-month program, supporting them to access to financing and networking opportunities and helping them to develop their green business model to bring their innovation to Mediterranean markets.

Ezra has developed a small hydroponic system device to be installed in medium and small houses. It will achieve a partly self-sufficiency of vegetables and fruits for houses without the need of big spaces and gardens.
Golden Strawberry cultivates and produces strawberries using modern technologies to produce a healthy product of high quality without any chemicals.
Smart Hydroponic Farm’s idea is based on planting greens (lettuce, parsley, mint, watercress) following the hydroponic method on an area of one acre.
Habaleh is an agro-ecological small-scale farm in Jifna, a town near Ramallah, growing seasonal and organic vegetables, fruits trees and herbs to the community and play a role in building food sovereignty in Palestine.
Smart Farm is a PLC controlled farm with an air conditioning unit.
Be Organic is a poultry farm seeking to produce organic eggs by providing and creating a natural environment in which chickens grow and live under good conditions.
Flowers Land works on utilizing lands by planting them with roses that will irrigate using water from the main purification station in the village.
Talia Organic Farm is a project offering a healthy and environmental alternative that consumes less water in ecological vegetables production.
Organic Millet Seeds is proper cultivation of millet seeds and all its varieties.
SHABAP is a product that assesses the existing conditions of buildings and suggests improvements to reduce energy and water consumption and to improve indoor air quality.
Sustainable Environmental Space aims at creating a free space for education in climate diversity and an opportunity for gathering and experiencing exceptional experiences in relaxation and learning.
Honeycomb is a project that produces honey and other hive products, with focus on the packaging process of honey products in non-traditional and modern ways.
Blue House makes interior stones for decoration in different shapes and colours using silicone molds and recycled materials such as glass, wood wool, iron and paper waste.
Palestine Rif for Products wants to create a website in order to market and display plant products produced by farmers or housewives.
