In an exciting effort to support the growth and competitiveness of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), the EMPHASIS project in Egypt successfully completed its second phase of innovation support services offered to its four beneficiaries, leaving a trail of remarkable business transformations. Through a series of training seminars focused on innovation management, tailored specifically to the needs of the four Egyptian SMEs, entrepreneurs have acquired a wide range of valuable skills. These newfound abilities include technical expertise, business smarts, financial know-how, motivational leadership, and effective management strategies. These skills empower them to thrive in today's ever-changing market.

During the months of April and May 2023, ambitious entrepreneurs gathered at the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Association (CEEBA) at the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce, eager to embark on a transformative journey. These intensive seminars, created in collaboration with the esteemed Abdin Consultancy Group and led by renowned expert Mr. Marwan Abdin, were carefully designed to ignite innovation and foster sustainable entrepreneurship.

Right from the start, participants found themselves immersed in an environment that encouraged creative thinking and visionary leadership. The seminars covered a wide range of crucial topics, empowering attending SMEs to overcome barriers and take their businesses to new heights.

The seminars buzzed with excitement during the Fund Raising & Pitching sessions, as entrepreneurs dove headfirst into the world of investment readiness. Equipped with this newfound knowledge, these empowered SMEs are now ready to secure the financial backing needed to bring their groundbreaking ideas to life.

Legal Structures, Intellectual Property (IP), and Agreements were demystified for SMEs. Participants gained invaluable insights into the various legal structures available under Egypt's code of commerce and learned how to protect their innovative creations through trademarks, patents, and copyrights.

The seminars also delved into the essence of Innovation, emphasizing the power of idea generation and an agile approach to product development. Participants were guided through methodologies such as the waterfall approach and design thinking, enabling them to transform their ideas into tangible, user-centric products. The importance of user experience and user interface (UX/UI) design was highlighted, ensuring that SMEs not only develop innovative solutions but also deliver them in an appealing and user-friendly manner.

The training didn't stop at innovation alone; HR & Human Capital Essentials also took center stage.
