  • Egyptian regulatory framework on PV interconnected with the grid
  • International standards for designing, installing and operating PV plants
  • Internationalization of business and RES
  • PV plant operation and management
  • Exploring financial tools and implementation framework

MAIA-TAQA's Lebanese partner, The Industrial Research Institute(IRI) Lebanon training focused on Water and Wastewater treatment technologies.

It included the following topics:

  • Procurement, installation and commissioning of Wastewater treatment
  • Feasibility studies of Wastewater treatment
  • Wastewater treatment in Lebanese hospitals
  • Contamination of the Lebanese Coastal Beaches
  • Innovative technologies for leak detection, operation and maintenance with insights into environmental and safety plan
  • International standards for designing, installing and operating Wastewater treatments
  • Internationalization of business and Resource Efficiency services (REs)
  • Applicable legal framework and standardization / certification issues.
  • Exploring financial tools and implementation framework

MAIA-TAQA's Jordanian partner, The Jordan Chamber of Commerce training focused on Solar – Building Integrated Photovoltaics (BIPV) Technologies & Systems.

It included the following topics:

  • Introduction to solar energy
  • Solar PV technologies
  • BIPV Systems & BIPV Case studies

  • Solar Real Cases (DHW, solar cooling) Install and Commission
  • Installation and supervision of installation (General part + differentiations per Innovative Service)
  • Legal framework in Jordan

The trainings in the three partner countries were provided by experienced experts in the selected fields In order to ensure that the material provided is maintained at a high level and the courses designed to provide the participants with the necessary skills to deal with the complex issues that might arise in Resource Efficiency services.

Some testimonials from the participants:

“MAIA-TAQA training was very informative, and the lecturers were keen to reply to all raised questions.” Ramzi Ramadan, road engineer at the ministry of public works

“MAIA-TAQA training is filled with useful information about the water issues, electricity issues that we face in Lebanon and how to deal with them.” Raya Al Shareif, environmental health student from Lebanon

“MAIA-TAQA training focused on our capacity development which personally helped me a lot to reduce the gap between what I learned in academia and what the market needs.” Houssein Ali Swaydan, civil engineering student

“It was a great opportunity for me to attend this very diverse and well-implemented training course with great instructors and presentation style.” Rania Mohamed Abdelhamid, an Environmental Engineer from Lebanon

"I would like to thank you very much for the fruitful presentations about the water system in Lebanon, from lifting & pumping, to testing and water treatment procedures, it was really full of important information about electromechanical works and automation scada systems related to the water sector. All sessions were well organized and efficient to learn more about water systems and its related services. Hope I will be able to benefit from more training programs like the MAIA-TAQA one in the future." Mohammed Doueik, Industrial Engineer
