The Centro Superior de Investigaciones Científicas, CSIC, leader of the PPI4MED project, has launched a series of pills of the selection of the technological offer, proposed in the last sessions of the living lab held in Spain in 2022.

This first cycle of sessions brought together more than 100 agents interested in finding out how the public procurement of innovation instrument could build bridges between the three helixes: public administration, private enterprise, and research centers.

The implementation of new systems for measuring pollutants in water, energy storage batteries or the implementation of nanotechnology to preserve the monumental heritage in cities are some of the proposals made in the major fields of energy, biodiversity, water, historical heritage, or circular economy, that also influence the health and well-being of citizens and the planet.

This technological offer is just a representation of all the solutions patented by the CSIC, which has a wealth of experience in innovation across all its centers.

Their compilation and availability in the Living Labs represent an opportunity to develop them through public procurement of innovation, allowing an improvement in current processes and a positive impact on the sectors in which it operates.

In this way, the challenges posed by public administrations are able to find possible solutions through the technological offer presented for this purpose, giving rise to a process of dialogue and encounter.

This cycle of sessions, which includes the selection of the technological offer, that has just been presented, is only part of the potential of the innovative public procurement Living Lab set up by the PPI4MED project.
