The EU-funded CROSSDEV project is happy to announce the release of the volume “Culture, history, environment and people to expand sustainable tourism in Italy, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine”.

Edited by project’s lead CISP – the International Committee for the Development of Peoples – the book was officially presented for the first time last May, during the project’s international final event in Lebanon.

Born from the testimonials of the many people who have engaged in the work of CROSSDEV in the last 4 years, the book gathers experiences and good practices, stories, problems, and solutions that the partners have faced during the project’s implementation. It tells about community-based tourism, socioeconomic opportunities, trainings, environmental protection, social inclusion, and many more practices that CROSSDEV has brought in the selected territories of Italy, Jordan, Lebanon, and Palestine and that were studied, designed, and applied in tight collaboration with the locals.

Enriched with many insights and beautiful pictures, the book is a relevant source for those seeking to know more about sustainable tourism and how this popular attractor can be used as a tool to promote socioeconomic development around the Mediterranean and beyond.
