BERLIN Intelligent Utilization of Photovoltaic Technology Hub’s promotes distributed renewable energy sources in the Mediterranean

The Intelligent Utilization of Photovoltaic Technology Hub in the Mediterranean region (IUPVMED) was created in the framework of BERLIN project and it investigates the integration of photovoltaics (PV), energy storage systems (ESS), and demand side management (DSM), under the concept of a hybrid nanogrid system.

The aim of the Hub is to promote the wider adoption of distributed energy resources in the Mediterranean (MED) area in the form of a PV+ESS+DSM system. The Hub will be utilized for sharing information regarding regional legislation among the participating countries within this technology, and to propose strategies that will aid its promotion. The Hub consists of key stakeholders and experts from academia, industry and local authorities that have committed themselves to a fruitful collaboration for promoting the wider adoption of distributed energy resources in the Mediterranean region.

During the 2nd annual meeting of the Hub planned on the 14th February, the members will have the chance to get informed about the main actions and pilots of BERLIN project in each country (Cyprus, Italy, Israel) as well as exchange views on energy efficiency, decarbonization matters and funding opportunities for innovating in this sector

The event will be held amongst the IUPVMED Hub members
