ARTOLIO platform's case study to drive trust and expansion in the global olive oil market

Amsterdam, The Netherlands – The ARTOLIO Platform Study Tour will be held in the Netherlands from July 10-13, 2023, bringing together industry experts, professionals, and stakeholders for a comprehensive exploration of the olive oil sector. With a dynamic agenda featuring lectures, discussions, and networking opportunities, the event will provide invaluable insights into the latest trends, consumer preferences, and innovative approaches within the industry.

Day 1 - Monday 10/07/2023:

The study tour will commence with participants convening at a designated meeting point before embarking on an Intercity train to Amsterdam Central.

From there, a bus will transport attendees to Wageningen University, where they will engage in a stimulating session on the new trends in the agrifood sector, with a particular focus on extra virgin olive oil.

Esteemed speakers from the university will provide valuable insights into the evolving dynamics of the industry. Following a lunch break, the agenda continues with a train journey back to Amsterdam Central, where participants will dwell into a lecture and discussion on the Dutch olive oil consumer profile at the renowned Olive Oil Shop, Olives & More.

Day 2 - Tuesday 11/07/2023:

The second day of the study tour will start with a meeting at the designated meeting point, followed by a captivating lecture and conversation at Oliodiolivo Di Amsterdam.

Shop owners will sharw their insights into olive oil consumer preferences in the Netherlands, Europe, and the world. Subsequently, participants will have the opportunity to learn about the intricacies of importing extra virgin olive oil in the Netherlands from representatives of Gkazas Family Importers. A thought-provoking discussion at Olijfolie istutuut will explore the platform's role in connecting professionals and consumers while addressing the unique challenges faced by small cooperative farmers and large exporting farmers.

After a rejuvenating lunch break, participants will engage in a creative discussion centered around imports, trends, and competition within the ARTOLIO Platform, expertly moderated by Gregor Christians. The day will culminate in an innovation panel focused on sustainability trends, inspiring a fruitful brainstorming session facilitated by Laura van Hellenberg Hubar - van Rij

Day 3 - Wednesday 12/07/2023:

The third day will start with an inspiring session featuring Ruben Panagopoulos, an olive oil start-upper, who will share his experiences and fresh approach to the olive oil market. Following this engaging presentation, a meeting with Dille - Kamille buyers will provide valuable insights into the perspective of a prominent retailer.

Later, the group will travel to The Hague for a significant engagement with representatives from the Greek and Spanish embassies. The objective is to present ARTOLIO's platform and engage in insightful discussions about the olive oil sector in Europe. 

Day 4 - Thursday 13/07/2023:

On the final day of the study tour, participants will gather for a series of presentations aimed at summarizing the key discussions and findings from the previous days. Local distributors, professionals, and buyers are also invited to join the session, to foster valuable interactions and potential collaborations.
