Aqaba Development Corporation (ADC), Jordanian partner of YEP MED, signed a partnership agreement with Escola Europea, Lead Beneficiary of YEPMED,  for youth employment in ports of the Mediterranean. ADC represents the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as a partner with 6 countries in this project which is a part of the EU programs. Its main objective is to expand suitable employment opportunities and ensure that future generations will be empowered to participate fully in society.

As part of the internship program; ADC signed seven Medmorandum, of Understandings with port operators and logistics service providers, where trainees will physically be positioned for three month in one of those entities for proficiency in performing actual / real logistics tasks and technical transport & logistics activities.

Ten trainees - divided into two groups - will be positioned in different entities where each trainee will have a 3 months internship at one of the ports and logistics entities that ADC signed with starting on August 2022.

Such internships are vital to introduce trainees to the on the ground and day to day activities and enhance their knowledge as well as familiarize them with the work flow at ports and logistics companies in Aqaba.
