This third newsletter brings you the latest updates on the FISH MED NET project's progress, meetings, and the implementation of tools to help small-scale fisheries structures diversify and sustain their activities.

The INVESTMED project launched a call for business proposals from startups and MSMEs in November 2021. This edition of the newsletter announces the winners from each country, Egypt, Tunisia, and Lebanon. There were 38 business proposals selected in total. FISH MED NET launches a call for tender for the selection of an audiovisual service provider.

The Association Tunisienne pour le Développement de la Pêche Artisanale is launching a call for consultation for the selection of an audiovisual service provider to ensure photo and video coverage of events carried out within the framework of the implementation of the FISH MED NET project in Tunisia.

Fabio Cadelano is one of the few 'young' full-time fishers found in Sardinia who operates his boat from the coastlines of Marceddì. Along with his father, he and other fishers run the Arennera pescatourism where they have managed to make the fishers' lifestyle an attractive portal for visiting tourists. In complete respect of the nature they operate by alternating these two activities in order to upkeep a steady livelihood and manage to enthrall their clients by taking them on coastal tours in the vicinity of Marceddì, on the west coast of Sardinia.

The Tunisian Association for the Development of Artisanal Fisheries is launching a call for applications to organise a training course on income diversification, for the benefit of workers in the fisheries and aquaculture sector.

ReFuse is a social enterprise that runs recyclable collection points, sells recyclables to industries, and rewards those who contributed with their sorted waste. The start-up, launched in December 2021, inaugurated its second Recyclables Collection Point in Bourj Hammoud, a densely populated community, where waste hazards represent a key priority since years.

With the purpose of transferring project results to relevant stakeholders, the ReSt@rts project will conduct its first event with the participation of public institutions at the local, regional and EU levels. The Policy Awareness event will involve these institutions from the 6 partner countries (Italy, Palestine, Tunisia, Lebanon, Greece and Cyprus). The event is taking place on the 14th of December 2022, in Sfax, Tunisia.

MedBEESinessHubs Egyptian partner, the Confederation of Egyptian European Business Association - CEEBA, is looking for Technical Experts and Trainers. In collaboration with the project lead partners in Cyprus and experts, the sought experts and trainers should develop training materials and deliver training workshops in Alexandria, Egypt.

The IPMED in Jordan organized on the 24th November 2022 an awareness session in Irbid, Jordan to  brief the audience on the IPMED grants carried out under its supervision
