The Confederation of Citizen Enterprises in Tunisia (CONECT) held on January 26th, 2023 the second Open day and Workshop at the Hotel Lac Leman Tunis, aimed at promoting the concept of a circular economy and sustainable investment.

The INSTM (Tunisian partner of the project) will host the Final International Conference of COMMON in Tunisia.

When and where?

The event will take place at Carthage Thalasso Hotel, Tunis on the 7th and 8th of February 2023. It will be attended by the projects’ partners, politicians, and researchers from the Mediterranean area.

In this video we show you the "Guests House" modelled with H-BIM technology (Historic Building Information Modelling). This heritage building, located in Al-Karak (Jordan), is one of the 9 pilot buildings of the BEEP project in which an innovative methodology is proposed to plan an energy efficient renovation, without undermining the heritage value of these buildings.

About the BEEP project:

The MAIA-TAQA project started its certified training course in Resource-efficient solutions for PV systems design and battery storage in Egypt on the 26th of November 2022, intending to tackle one of the main barriers to developing innovative services: the lack of capacity or competencies.

On January 17^th, 2023, the National Agency for Energy Conservation, Tunisian Partner of ESMES project launched the school contest activities in 9 public schools in the governorate of Sousse, in order to raise awareness of sustainable energy behavior and the importance of reducing energy consumption in schools.

On 16 December 2022, the third of the four technical meetings of the NAWAMED project called Water Table was held, organised by SVI.MED. - Euro-Mediterranean Centre for Sustainable Development (project partner), in synergy with Iridra, both project partners.  

The meeting follows the debate on existing and innovative solutions and technologies for the use of non-conventional water (NCW) at urban level, focusing on the technical-economic feasibility of nature-based solutions (NBS). 

The Royal Scientific Society, Jordanian partner of SOLE, has implemented energy efficiency and renewable energy interventions in Iskan Al Faiha’ primary school in Madaba. The Spanish partner of project SOLE, the Andalusian Energy Agency, is organising a plenary meeting in Seville on 6th and 7th March 2023 to facilitate the exchange between the project partners, to visit the building where the energy requalification works will be carried out and to enable networking with project Improvement (Interreg SUDOE).

Thanks to project SOLE, the Municipality of Jounieh in Lebanon has started implementing its pilot intervention (205 kWp solar Photo Voltaic (PV) system) at the Fouad Chehab Stadium, a sport facility located in the heart of the city.
