Following the Capitalisation Framework, RESET partners have interviewed over 50 policy-makers and other targeted stakeholders such as Business Support Organizations (BSO’s), Local Authorities and National Authorities with the aim of better understanding opportunities and limitations. The aim of these interviews was to target stakeholders and extract which knowledge is needed to support green business creation in the Mediterranean.

As a result, public bodies and projects specialized in support services to start-ups will be reinforced and better informed, and ultimately, more entrepreneurs will be supported and more investment will be directed. In this sense, RESET project has conducted during this current year three type of interviews, which are divided in:

  • Interviews with EU-projects: RESET’s partners interviewed EU-projects focused on supporting green entrepreneurship to understand and analyse best practices and key learnings.
  • Interviews with policy-makers and stakeholders: RESET’s partners just finalised interviews with public bodies and other targeted stakeholders to understand which knowledge and learnings are needed to support green entrepreneurship.
  • Interviews with final beneficiaries: RESET’s partners sent surveys to beneficiaries from these EU-projects to understand which outputs from their projects were more useful for them.

About 60 final beneficiaries interviewed to know the best practices and learnings

Over 60 beneficiaries from different EU-projects have been/are being surveyed to understand which outputs were the most useful ones for the creation of their business idea. Targeted beneficiaries are different in nature including BSOs, start-ups or universities. These interviews were conducted individually through the Project Managers who are/were in charge of the projects

The generated feedback collected from these interviews is necessary for the Capitalization Process, which aims at the identification and analysis of the most successful practices in the creation of green businesses across the Mediterranean area for its subsequent replication and upstreaming.

The interviews were conducted through questionnaires, whose purpose was having direct information on the projects beneficiaries’ opinions and therefore to have a comprehensive understanding on the potential replicability of each of the Project’s Outputs.

Beneficiaries were targeted among GIMED, IPMED, MEDSTARTS, MEDGENERATION, Generation Entrepreneur, Aller, Switchmed II, MedUp!, Embrace, U-SOLVE, SEED EURO-MED, EBSOMED, GRASPINNO, CREACT4MED, GRESS, STAND Up!, HELIOS, INVESTMED and SIRCLES projects.
