PPI4MED in Tunisia, through the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR) participated in the "Tunisian-German innovation forum 2022" that took place from the 1st to the 4th of November 2022 in Tunis. It’s a forum organized by the Water Research and Technology Center, - CERTE - and the Technical University of Berlin as part of the 'SUSPIRE' project funded by the Tunisian-German cooperation (TUNGER 2+2) under the theme 'Sustainable and decentralized recycling of industrial wastewater in rural areas – the example of the poultry slaughterhouse'.

This forum was a favourable opportunity to present the PPI4MED project and its activities as a solution to boost the commercialization of research results and innovation in water management.

In this context, a fruitful discussion between the participants led to the conclusion that the PPI model has a big potential to make research and innovation in Tunisia more efficient, in particular in the threats of the lack of drinking water and the crisis of water resources.

Indeed, several solutions were mentioned by some participants when presenting their research and the technological aspect was the major element presented to overcome this problem.

Events like this are very successful in creating synergies between the different centres, boosting innovation and offering solutions to fundamental challenges in Tunisian society.
