The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research, Tunisian parnter of PPI4MED, participated from 2 to 5 May 2023 in Hammamet, Tunisia, in the "ICT brokerage event", organised by the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) on the sidelines of the PAMED exhibition. This event gathered more than 150 exhibitors, 15 participating countries and more than 8000 visitors, offering an excellent opportunity to present innovative solutions, gain visibility and exchange with the dairy value chain actors.

Ms. Sonia Zgarni, local coordinator of the PPI4MED, and Mr. Mohamed Wassim Yahia, project communication officer, presented the activities conducted within the framework of the project, in particular, the organisation of the Research and Innovation Fair last March. They stated that this fair was a first step towards the realisation of an ambitious vision for the establishment of a public innovation market in Tunisia, adapted to the local context and based on the innovative design proposed by the PPI4MED project. They also explained that this vision requires close cooperation between research centres, the public sector and the private sector to stimulate innovation and foster economic growth.

The ICT brokerage event helped to stimulate technology transfer mechanisms in Tunisia and to strengthen the synergy between the innovation projects of the ENI CBC MED programme. This event was an opportunity to discover the latest projects and to boost innovations in the dairy value chain. Participants were able to hold B2B meetings with donors and financing institutions, thus strengthening cooperation and collaboration between the different stakeholders.
