PPI4MED teams up with another EU project to boost innovative public procurement in Tunisia

A meeting between Mrs. Sonia Zgarni, the representative of the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR) and PPI4MED project manager in Tunisia, and Mr. Mazen Al-Kassem, the representative of Expertise France and INNOVI project manager was held on the 24th of October 2022.

The main subject discussed during the meeting was a potential agreement of collaboration. In this context, Expertise France and ANPR will co-organize a training activity in Public Procurement of Innovation based on the Tunisian contextThere will also be important cooperation in communicating the PPI4MED project and its activities to the public.

INNOVI, EU4Innovation is a 5-year project to support the strengthening of the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem in Tunisia, funded by the European Union and implemented by Expertise France.

 

This project aims to support the strengthening, structuring and sustainability of the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in Tunisia through three axes:  Improve the service offer for startups and entrepreneurs through the support of support structures in the fields of entrepreneurship and innovation;  Support the implementation of a regulatory and financing framework conducive to innovative entrepreneurship and startups and respond to the lack or inadequacy of financing mechanisms for startups and promote the entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem on a national and international scale.

The PPI4MED and INNOVI projects see a very good opportunity in their collaboration agreement through activities by sharing common objectives. Their partnership will be optimal to strengthen innovation in Tunisia and increase the country's competitiveness.
