In Spring 2021, PPI4MED plans to launch the 'Innovation Procurement Living labs' initiative with five national platforms to be set up in Spain, Tunisia, Italy, Jordan and Egypt.

National research centers, partners of PPI4MED, will host a webinar presenting the initiative and innovation procurement model to transfer science results to the society, involving the key actors from the innovation ecosystem, public sector, universities companies, and other representatives.

 The living lab is a national platform for meeting interests and needs between public buyers and sellers to support the creation of concrete ideas that can materialize into potential public procurement of innovation (PPI) pilots.

The first platforms successfully launched were the Italian PPI Living Lab webinar hosted by the CNR - Centro Nazionale di Ricerca (CNR), follow by Tunisian Innovation Procurement Living Lab hosted by Agence Nationale de Promotion de la Recherche Scientifique (ANPR) on the 18th and 30th of March, respectively.

Finally, the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) will close the launching event of the initiative on the 23rd of April.
