ORGANIC ECOSYSTEM launches a capacity building program for 11 innovators in Lebanon

A 4 days training program has been launched by the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Zahle and Bekaa, in collaboration with the Lebanese Ministry of Agriculture and Biomass, for 11 new business ideas in the organic sector.

While the three first days will be operated virtually, the fourth day will gather all the innovators at the Biomass facility in Jrebta, Lebanon. The training program on innovative organic value chain aims to increase SMEs competitiveness and facilitate market access at the national and cross border levels.

The training contents were tailored to respond to the needs of the participants. The covered topics are:

  • Data gathering  
  • Certification  
  • Farm management and record keeping 
  • Waste management  
  • Contract farming 
  • Food safety 
  • Finance 
  • Marketing 
  • Innovation
  • Business planning.
