The dialogue between training institutions, companies and territorial authorities continues to define what are the best ways to ensure an alignment between training programs with the needs of companies, under the guidance of institutions so as to foster a balanced development of territories. This dialogue is even more crucial given that the organizational and productive structure of companies are constantly changing as today's world is facing the great challenge of ecological transition, and many sectors have a constant need for new job profiles.

The second of the three technical seminars organized as part of the MYSEA project in Italy took place on 23rd June 2023 in Rome, under the supervision of CIES Onlus, Lead Beneficiary of the MYSEA project, and the vocational training organization Speha Fresia. The venue chosen was Porta Futuro Lazio, which is an important project of the Lazio Region, public and free of charge, implemented in collaboration with universities and offering guidance and training services to enable young people to play their best cards on the job market. In line with this mission, the objective of this technical seminar is the exchange of information, strategies and best practices by bringing into dialogue different but equally contributing parties to the job placement of young people: on the one hand, vocational training institutions, on the other hand, companies and public authorities.

In the wake of the first technical seminar held in Priverno last May 2023, two thematic macro-sessions were held. The morning session was led by Speha Fresia, which is the professional training provider in charge of delivering MYSEA's Blue & Green Economy training in Italy. It was an opportunity for a discussion with professionals in the sector on training models, and a strong emphasis was placed on the importance of co-designing projects between different public and private actors, so that training and job placement processes, starting from their formulation, are responsive to the needs of the sectors and, above all, integrated in a network of dialogue with the productive entities of the territories.

The afternoon session was conducted in a blended mode, allowing the participation of speakers and remote users who could also interact with the room. Participants included Daniele del Monaco, head of the agri-food sector of Legacoop Lazio; Luca Del Gallo of Roccadigiovine, president of the Gotto d'Oro winery; and Giovanna Maria Ferrari, representative of ISMEA (Institute of Services for the Agricultural Food Market), who presented the opportunities offered by the national programs "Generazione Terra" and "Più Impresa", which offer financing for the purchase of land to facilitate the start-up of agricultural business experiences by young entrepreneurs.

It was a particularly engaging moment, featuring young people and women attending the MYSEA project's Blue & Green Economy-oriented training courses. More than 20 young people attended the seminar, and some of them intervened in person to pose questions to the guest stakeholders. Earlier, at the conclusion of the morning session, they had gathered in two macro-groups, brainstorming and putting together the most relevant issues, which they then synthesized and in the afternoon reported publicly in dialogue with representatives of territorial institutions and companies.

For MYSEA project, this is one of the most significant moments because it brings together in the same platform the beneficiaries of the project and the most significant representatives that we intend to bring together, and our hope is that the dialogue, the mutual understanding of each other's issues and finding common ground for shared solutions will be a process that primarily benefits young people, especially those who are Not in Employment, Education or Training (NEETs), who find it difficult to find satisfactory employment and who instead represent an added value and an essential resource for emerging sectors of the economy.
