MoreThanAJob: evaluation of the project environmental impact for the first year

MoreThanAJob Greek partner 'Eurotraining' conducted an Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) for the first year of activities with inputs from all project partners.

The evaluation was based on five Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and these KPIs are related to carbon footprint as the following: KPI-1: Number of international flights KPI-2: Number of km traveled for the project on cars KPI-3: Number of km traveled for the project on train KPI-4: Number of km traveled for the project on bus KPI-5: Number of leaflets/brochures printed. Before making the final selection for the KPIs, specialized bibliography and best practices were studied. 

The changes in project implementation due to COVID-19 create the necessity to re-adjust accordingly the EIA reporting scheme. EIA included standard methodologies and web-based CO2 calculators that were tested. The monitoring took place every quarter and the results are shown below:

Evolution of carbon footprint per reporting period during the first year

The total carbon footprint in the first year of project implementation was 8,244 tons of CO2.
