We are delighted to announce that Mazi Travel, on of the Med Pearls project DMC subgrantee, has recently received two prestigious awards for its groundbreaking Imathia A.s.A.P. (As slow As Possible) Slow Tourism programme, developed as part of our participation in the EU Programme Med Pearls.

The Imathia A.s.A.P. programme was carefully crafted to promote responsible travel in Greece's Imathia Veria Region, emphasizing local culture, history, and ecology. This initiative serves as an exemplary model for sustainable tourism development, showcasing the potential for meaningful connections between travelers and their destinations.

On March 21st, Mazi Travel's Imathia A.s.A.P. programme was awarded the Gold prize in the Green Passenger category at the esteemed Green Brand Awards 2023. Recognizing exceptional environmental responsibility and sustainability, the Green Brand Awards acknowledges Mazi Travel's dedication to slow and eco-friendly tourism.

Furthermore, on April 27th, Mazi Travel was honored with a Silver award in the Sustainable Tourism Development category at the Tourism Awards 2023. The Tourism Awards, a highly regarded organization in Greece, celebrates excellence and innovation within the tourism industry. This accolade solidifies the Imathia A.s.A.P. programme's position as a pioneering initiative in Slow Tourism and sustainable practices.
