Turismo Vivencial is a tour operator, located in Vilanova i la Geltrú, with more than 10 years of experience in creating authentic and unique tourist experiences. In the DNA of Turismo Vivencial is the enhancement of the local identity of the destination. Through local hosts, travelers connect with the essence of the destination, promoting respectful and non-crowded tourism. Local hosts open the doors of their homes for travelers allowing them to learn about the hosts’ deeply rooted traditions, and to feel like protagonists of their experiences.
The MED GAIMS project is a great opportunity for Turismo Vivencial to immerse in the world of tourism gamification, and work transversely with the destination's heritage, culture, resources and tourism companies, using gamification to connect them, and make the destination site not only attractive, but also fun.

The winning proposal for Turismo Vivencial is entitled The Keepers of the Recipe Book. The proposal consisted of an analog game with a very defined central theme: the gastronomy of Vilanova i la Geltrú. Through several puzzle games displayed in the recipe book (game book), the participants will discover the traditional recipes of the municipality. A fascinating history, set in the 19th century, going thought interesting intriguing historical facts and characters.
The game aims at highlighting the importance of local restaurants and encourages all tourists and MED GAIMS participants to taste the incredible and peculiar gastronomy of Vilanova y la Geltrú. That is why the Turismo Vivencial team is working together with the restaurants of the municipality and bringing the experience to the gamers meals.

The game will be operational in July 2021, and it can be played without assistance, in groups, couples or individually, and it is suitable for all ages. Players will only need a game book, a pen and the desire to visit Vilanova and have a good time.
