Jordan: MAIA-TAQA call for tenders to install a Building Integrated Photovoltaic solar system

The MAIA-TAQA project Jordanian partner, JoCC (Jordan Chamber of Commerce) intends to award a contract for installing renewable energy solutions at its main building, mainly installing Photovoltaic (BIPV) Systems (Building Integrated Photovoltaic solar system) “MAIA-TAQA BIPV System pilot project in Amman”.

By this project, JOCC will install Grid Connected Solar BIPV (Building Integrated Photovoltaic solar system) in the façade of the building at the south east and south west elevations but in stages depending on the availability of the funds, therefore JOCC is seeking Contractors that are duly registered and licensed with the Government of Jordan for the installation of Solar BIPV systems. Works should be in line with the local and international applicable laws, regulations and codes.

JOCC is seeking electromechanical contractors / suppliers specialized in the renewable energy and installation of solar cells that can install and operate BIPV solar panels on the façade of the building.

The scope of work includes but is not limited to the review design, supply, Installation, Testing and Commissioning of Grid Connected (on-grid) Solar Photovoltaic (BIPV) Power systems, including power evacuation systems.

The Scope of Work also includes any mechanical, electrical or civil works that might be needed at for the completion of works such as relocating or removing items. The works shall be as stated in the Technical Drawings and shall be accounted for in the technical proposal with all the works needed to operate the system in proper situations wires or cables. Any subcontracted aspect of works shall be declared clearly at the Bidder Response Document – Section4: Subcontracting. Components

The awarded bidder(s) shall submit a method statement together with designs and shop drawings for the BIPV system and all the electrical works that are compatible with the projects’ relevant documents (BOQ, System components Technical Specifications, Technical Drawings specifying in details the PV system components, especially the inverter and PV Modules brands, and all other details or technical specifications that are required for the application for permits, and/or for carrying out the electrical impact study
