In the framework of the Spanish Regional Alliance for Innovation Transfer (RAIT), the Official Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Services and Shipping of Seville and the Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) have organised on 9th July 2021 an online workshop with universities to promote knowledge transfer in Andalusia. The event was attended by the universities of Seville, Malaga, Granada, Jaen, Cadiz, Cordoba, Almeria, Huelva, Pablo de Olavide, Loyola and UNIA.

The aim of the event was to analyse the current barriers in the commercialisation of research results, in order to design and promote support mechanisms for Andalusian researchers that will be included as tools offered by INTECMED.

It consisted of an interactive and co-creation session, in which the university representatives had to answer questions through the Mentimeter application, which also provided an exchange of different types of initiatives and ideas.

The meeting also made room for a brief presentation of the project by the CTA consultant María García, in which the objectives, structure, planned calls, planned schedule and expected results were presented.

This action was carried out within the scope of the Spanish regional alliance, which aims to establish synergies and promote the Andalusian innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem. This alliance will support and advise on the development of the INTECMED project activities, as well as on its communication and dissemination activities among Andalusian researchers.

In addition, INTECMED will launch at the end of the year a support programme aimed at researchers and entrepreneurs with innovative ideas that will have a physical incubation space in Seville, a training offer and personalised accompaniment and budget allocation for the best business plans developed during the months of mentoring.
