The city of Irbid of Jordan has been selected as the INNOMED-UP project pilot area. The city population is estimated at 907,675 and it was selected due to its strategic position and a target in multi-diversified projects funded by different donors, including EU. Luckily, INNOMED-UP Project Partner from Jordan: Future pioneers has conducted the start of art survey, before COVID-19.

This survey has revealed various results including the necessity to activate and encourage the concept of partnership between the public and private sectors and creating development projects that advance the economic, environmental and social situations
