March has arrived and so is the new row of fantastic Living Labs from the iHERITAGE project!

As part of the iHERITAGE project, on February 18th, the first Portuguese Living Lab was presented at the University of Algarve - Escola Superior de Gestão, Hotelaria e Turismo. The session was part of the technological approach to intangible cultural heritage and the appreciation of social and cultural elements program, connected in different ways to history and memory. Taught entirely in Portuguese, the Living Lab motivated a necessary debate in the innovation driven development and technological transfer of the Algarve's cultural reality. Professor Mauro Figueiredo was the designated speaker to a group of online subscribers, teaching them the necessary bases for the upcoming iHERITAGE mobile app, whose case study focuses on one of the elements of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity; the Mediterranean Diet.

On March 18th, an upcoming Living Lab will be presented again at the University of Algarve - Escola Superior de Gestão, Hotelaria e Turismo. This session will be part of the technological approach to intangible cultural heritage and the appreciation of social and cultural elements program, connected in different ways to history and memory.

This Living Lab aims to present the development, architecture and functionality of two mobile applications (MARINADE+REMIND), inserted in the research focus of the iHERITAGE project in Portugal: the Mediterranean Diet. The subscription of this cultural experience will be directed to the local community and the flow of tourists, offering them a glimpse from past generations, in response to the environment, to the power of local gastronomy, to the history of the landscape and to the sense of identity in Algarve.

This session will be held in English and will adopt an online format, using the link on the Zoom platform. The session will be taught by Prof. Dr. Mauro Figueiredo, researcher at CIMA-UAlg who will give the necessary bases for the iHERITAGE app run, whose case study focuses on one of the elements of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The participation in the Living Labs is free and open to the community. However, the session will have a maximum limit of 20 participants - registration for the session must be completed two days prior to the agenda proposal until the 16th of March to the email address lldorsch@ualg.pt.

We cannot wait to see you there. Your presence is sincerely valued by the iHERITAGE team!
