Yesterday, the 19th of February, a significant moment in the history of the iHERITAGE Project occurred as project partner, CEEBA - Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations, and the Galala University signed a research agreement for seven innovative ICT products under the framework of the project in Egypt. The signing ceremony took place at the historical Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace, adding a touch of grandeur to the occasion.

The agreement includes cutting-edge products to be developed under the iHERITAGE project such as AR/VR guided tours, 3d-Recontext, a space time elevator, cardboard excursions, virtual archeological reconstruction, VR Rooms and booths, and holographic exhibitions highlighting Egyptian tangible and intangible cultural heritage. These products promise to revolutionize the way we experience tourism and historical sites, and pave the way for a new era of learning and exploration.

Galala University was represented by its Acting President, Prof. Dr. Mohamed El-Shinawi, who expressed his excitement at the prospect of bringing these products to fruition. The Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations was represented by its Secretary General, Dr. Alaa Ezz, who emphasized the importance of collaboration between academia and industry.
