SIRCLES partners met in Tunisia and visited the composting site

SIRCLES partners from Italy, Lebanon, Tunisia, Spain and Greece met in Tunisia in June 2022 to hold the first meeting of the Capitalization Board in the presence of the mayor of Bizerte and ENI CBC MED representative Ms. Samira Rafrafi. The discussions were around biowaste management and circular economy strategies with a focus on youth NEETs (Not in Employment,Education and Training) and women and providing them with the necessary skillsets and preparing them to be involved in the community.

SIRCLES: On-field practical sessions in the pilot compost facility in Lebanon

Highlights of the #biowaste management training in Lebanon, implemented by the Rene Moawad Foundation under SIRCLES project. As part of the project, the Rene Moawad Foundation is equipping a composting facility in Hbaline, north of Beirut, where the trainees had the chance to visit and put the knowledge they received into practice.

Malak Rammal, a 21 years old Speech Therapist in Lebanon.


As many Lebanese residents, Malak and her family searched for means to sustain in challenging living conditions and came up with a brilliant idea of producing dairy products that can be preserved outside the fridge, thus endure the electricity shortage and save the energy consumption for both the producer and the consumer.
