YEP MED Development of New Curricula Materials

The proposed approach aims to implement complementary/additional VET courses within the existing institutional framework to achieve concrete results in a shorter period of time. These courses are developed after analysing the labour market skills gaps and in cooperation with public and private stakeholders to respond quickly to urgent needs (quick impact). This deliverable contains the training programs developed and adapted for implementation in the different participating Port Logistics Communities.

YEP MED Placement in Companies Strategy

This deliverable serves as a showcase of the strategies adopted by the YEP MED project to promote the placement in companies of the project's trainees, specifically by Partner nº3 , the Beirut Chamber of Commerce, Industry, and Agriculture. The strategies aim at boosting the employability of participants through methods such as job fairs, coaching sessions, and a digital job platform.

YEP MED Training of Trainers and Talent Program

This deliverable contains the documentation related to the Training of Trainers (ToT) and Talent activities carried out by the Lead Beneficiary (BEN) within the YEP MED project. Both types of activities involved participants from all of the project’s Port Logistic Communities (PLC). While ToTs were crucial to ensure that each PLC had well prepared trainers, the Talent programme offered a unique opportunity for students and teachers/mentors from each PLC to further their knowledge and skills and create long-lasting international connections. Additionally to the scheduled ToTs, BEN offered individual support and additional support to the partners’ whenever further training was required to carry out the courses throughout the project. The names of participants have been eliminated from this public version of the deliverable for privacy reasons.

YEP MED Identification of Professional Profiles

These deliverables contribute to further precising at a regional scale the professional profiles in the fields of transport and logistics that cannot be covered or that have growth potential. An analysis of sub-sectors identified and labor market needs is developed to attain this. The present studies refer to the Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Beirut, Valencia, and Aqaba Port Logistics Communities.

YEP MED ERP for Simulated Companies

This deliverable provides an overview of the educational module developed within the Click and Cargo Entreprise Resource Planning (ERP) for the conduction of the YEP MED international trade training courses. It showcases the functionalities and most important features of the platform, which has revolutionized the way of training students in the field of freight forwarding and logistics operations. MedSNAIL factsheets of quality products belonging to the Mediterranean culture, history and traditions.

As an alternative to the MedSNAIL Geodatabase, factsheets have been published with information on Ark of Taste products identified through MedSNAIL. This is a more visual and easy-to-share tool that describes the nature, production process and history of these products. The Ark of Taste is a Slow Food initiative created to highlight the existence of quality products belonging to cultures, history and traditions around the world, which are at risk of disappearing within a few generations.

MedSNAIL Narrative Labels to raise awareness of products linked to local history, tradition and culture.

Narrative labelling is a tool inspired by the strategic instruments developed by Slow Food and ultimately aims to promote a more homogeneous identification between products from a specific area, thus fostering a sense of shared identity and a more direct association between the area and its local products. Each of the MedSNAIL pilot areas has identified local products adapted to and consistent with their natural environment and developed labels that highlight descriptive characteristics associated with their territorial context, historical trajectory and connections with the intangible practices and traditions of local communities.

MedSNAIL Alliance of Chefs Directory for local products promotion.

The MedSNAIL Chefs Alliance, inspired by a Slow Food initiative, is made up of a group of chefs committed to integrating local products into local food production. These establishments have been identified and collected through a specific directory that makes it possible to identify Mediterranean gastronomic establishments committed to local products. This network will serve as a precedent for possible collaborations and/or synergies between members of the sector, as well as new commercial links between producers and chefs.

MedSNAIL Strategy for Mediterranean agri-food sector

This is an integrated analysis of the MedSNAIL pilot areas (six pilot areas in Jordan, Lebanon, Malta, Palestine, Tunisia and Spain), which has enabled work to identify and prioritise common challenges and joint opportunities in the Mediterranean agri-food sector. It is a key document that lays the foundations for contextualising local scenarios and establishing useful comparisons that allow work to be coordinated through strategic solutions.

MedSNAIL Alliance for fair, sustainable, resilient and competitive Mediterranean agri-food system

The MedSNAIL Alliance is a model agreement that includes milestones and specific lines of work that actively contribute to the transition of the Mediterranean agri-food sector towards a fairer, more sustainable and competitive model. The alliance is understood as an open and scalable tool to ratify the commitment of those entities interested in strengthening and adding value to Mediterranean food chains.

MedSNAIL Agrobiodiversity studies to preserve local food memory

Agrobiodiversity studies constitute a strategic study of each of the six MedSNAIL pilot areas, their food varieties and related industries, as well as the environmental and cultural factors that condition the agri-food development of local MSMEs. They are understood as an agile and basic tool for preserving the food memory of the territory, but also for defining lines of action to reverse situations that endanger traditional varieties and related industries.

MedSNAIL Geodatabase of quality products belonging to the Mediterranean culture, history and traditions

This is a digital tool developed by Slow Food that allows any user to learn about the MedSNAIL pilot areas, as well as to identify the products selected as strategic by means of files describing their nature, production process and history. These products have also been included in the Ark of Taste programme, which is a Slow Food initiative created to highlight the existence of quality products belonging to the cultures, history and traditions of the entire planet, which are at risk of disappearing within a few generations.
