Within the MedBEEsinessHubs project funded by the European Union under ENI CBCMED Program, the Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture of Zahle and the Bekaa in Lebanon is organizing a 3-day workshop on apitherapy and handcrafting of honeybee products, from 8 till 10 December 2022.

The workshop is divided into two sections:

• A one-day theoretical part, held online, covering the apitherapy issues, benefits, potential handcrafts and cosmetic products issued from the honeybee products; Honey, pollen, beeswax, royal jelly, propolis and venom.
• A two-day practical part at ASCO in Amchit, during which trainees will learn how to produce several products using the honeybee products together with other natural products. This section will cover the production of beeswax candles, beeswax soap, honey soap, a honey based hand cream, a honey based lips cream, and honey based makeup remover. 

The objectives of this training are to:

• Discuss with participants the importance of apitherapy and honeybee products handcrafting to complete the beekeeping value chain.
• Familiarize participants with honeybee products handcrafting, recipes, products, needed machinery, tools, equipment, processing and packaging.

• Build participants’ capacity in handcrafting honeybee products 

During the practical section, all the processes will be conducted with the active participation of the trainees with all related recipes and formulas and little manufacturing secrets and success hints and steps.

This workshop is free of charge and is open to all interested (would-be) bee entrepreneurs, but places are limited and registration must be made by sending an email to
