Call for Research Institutions: Development of ICT Solutions to Improve Access to UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Egypt through the iHERITAGE Project

The Confederation of Egyptian European Business Associations (CEEBA), the Egyptian partner in the iHERITAGE project, is seeking the services of research institutes to provide the scientific research necessary to develop prototypes of the following ICT solutions aimed at enhancing access to the Pyramids of Giza and the Grand Egyptian Museum:

  • AR/VR Guided Tours
  • 3D Recontext
  • VR Cardboard Excursions
  • Space-Time Elevator
  • Holographic Exhibitions
  • Virtual Archaeological Reconstruction (VAR)
  • VR Room
  • VR Booths

The research should examine the technologies and technicalities, historical eras and places depicted (landscape, etc.), human clothing, and appearances, among other factors, in order to create Virtual, Augmented, and Mixed Reality panoramas of the past.
