Boosting Tunisia's Economy through Innovation: National Agency for Scientific Research and PPI4MED in Tunisia take center stage at Innovation Day

The National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research participated as a partner in two projects, "PPI4MED" and "INTECMED," at the Innovation Day event held on July 10th, 2023, at the City of Science.

During his speech, Mr. Chedly Abdelly, the general director of ANPR, presented the PPI4MED project as a means of transferring the results of public research centers to socio-economic environments. He also mentioned the objective of involving the public sector in this project to establish connections between the interests of public buyers, companies, and research centers to generate appropriate solutions to the issues raised by the public sector.

Several representatives of the Tunisian state, and ambassadors attended this event, including the Prime Minister, Mrs. Najla BOUDEN ROMDHANE, and the Minister of Higher Education, Mr. Moncef Boukhtir. This event was an opportunity to show the importance of innovation and scientific research as favourable instruments to boost the country's economy.

The event also highlighted opportunities, policies, and programs aimed at encouraging innovation and entrepreneurship and raising awareness about the importance of investing in research and development to stimulate innovation.
