BERLIN is changing energy consumption habits in schools

The 2nd transnational project meeting of BERLIN took place in Eilat, Israel, between the 3rd and 4th of May. During the first day of the meeting, partners visited Yeleem School in Eilat and Nof Edom School in Eilot, where the pilot activities of BERLIN are under development. Partners had the chance to observe the equipment already installed at the two schools, as well as experience the interactive game and online energy consumption control platform developed by Ben Gurion University. The two tools aim, on the one hand, to support school staff members to control the air quality and energy consumption of their building and, on the other hand, to offer to the pupils a fascinating learning experience on energy consumption habits.

Partners had overall very constructive discussions on the development of the project activities, especially the pilot installations in the regions involved. Since the project is approaching in its final stage, partners are determined to support each other on the successful implementation of the remaining activities including trainings and webinars, which are going to be announced in the upcoming weeks. Partners are also committed to maximise the project impact after its end by replicating the solutions in other regions and fully utilise the scale up potential of BERLIN.
