BERLIN aligns with the commitment of the European Union for a sustainable energy future in Mediterranean region

On the 1st of June 2023, representatives from the Delegation of the European Union (EU) in Israel paid a visit at Yhelim school in Eilat. The EU Ambassador Mr Dimiter Tzantchev, Mr. Andrea Carignani di Novoli – Head of Research & Innovation Section, Mr. Eduardo Kowalczyk - Head of the Cooperation Section and Mr. Gosia Fernandez-Zincke – Head of the Trade Section had the chance to get informed from BERLIN partners from Eilat and Eilot Municipalities in Israel on the progress of project activities.

Yhelim school was selected as one of the two public buildings in Israel to install the nano grid concept of BERLIN project. Photovoltaic panels were installed on an open courtyard adjacent to the school and are utilised as a shelter from the sun and high radiation. The infrastructure aims to serve also for educational purposes. A demonstration of the online educational tool, developed within the framework of the project was presented by school staff
