تونس: TRANSDAIRY تنشئ مختبريين حيين لتعزيز الإبتكار في سلسلة القيمة لمنتجات الألبان

The Tunisian partners of the TRANSDAIRY project - the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII) & the Higher School of Engineers of Medjez El Bab (ESIM) - organized on 23rd March 2021 the first focus group meeting (Agenda) and officially set up the two Tunisian Living labs in Key Enabling Technologies (KETs), namely bio-nanotechnologies & ICT/ nanotechnologies.

The meeting was opened by the chief of cabinet of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (MESRS), Directors from the Agricultural Investment Promotion Agency (APIA), the Agency for the Promotion of Industry and Innovation (APII), and Higher School of Engineers of Medjez El Bab (ESIM).

The Tunisian strategy, since the 80s, was based on the quantitative satisfaction of the needs of the Tunisian population. BUT, currently, we have to prepare strategies for improving quality and this, can only be achieved through the integration of technology in the Dairy Value Chain.

After the opening ceremony, the intervention Dr Fatma Trabelsi, communication manager of the project, delivered an overall presentation of TRANSDAIRY project, an introduction to the Living Labs & spin-offs approaches.

Then, Ines Khalifa, coordinator of the project Med-EcoSuRe (ENI CBC Med), presented the steps adopted for the creation and management of the levels of the Living lab, and an overview on the ICT platform developed for the transfer of knowledge and best practices on the rehabilitation of university building stock in the Mediterranean.

Finally, Moez Otay, Engineer from the National Agency for the Promotion of Scientific Research (ANPR), presented the concept and process of the creation of university spin-offs with some examples in Tunisia.

During this meeting, over 40 participants, researchers, professionals, SMEs and decision-makers in the fields of Dairy Value Chain (DVC), KETs & entrepreneurship, attended the workshop conducted by the TRANSDAIRY project in order to identify different needs of DVC and technological offers in the Tunisian market.

The participants were divided into four groups representing the different parts of the Dairy Value Chain (production, collection, transformation and marketing).

These groups enhanced participants to co-prepare a factsheet identifying the problems of each part of the Daily Value Chain, its expectations, offered solutions and some succesful cases.

The workshop was highly appreciated by all the participants as it will play a crucial role in the modernization of the Dairy Value Chain (DVC) through the integration of the Key Enabling Technologies (KETs).
