FISH MED NET in Lebanon trained fishermen on how to preserve life below the waves
The Ministry of Agriculture of Lebanon, as partner of FISH MED NET project, presents a case of fishery diversification in services to the community module, thanks to the best case of the Tyre coast nature reserve. Scientists and envirnonmentalists exchanged with fishermen to better preserve the biodiversity of the Mediterranean. Hand in hand scientists and fishermen can collaborate for the benefit of the environment.

CEOMED closed its project in Tunisia showcasing results of the pilot on biowaste management
At the end of April 2023, the Centre of Biotechnology of Sfax, Tunisian partner of CEOMED, organised the final event of the project, showing the pilot implemented and the promising results of their research to enhance the potential of biowaste and turn it into a useful resource such as fertilizer or even the production of biomethane through anaerobic digestion.

In the framework of Med4Waste project and in cooperation with PRIMA and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM), the webinar : a better urban organic waste management for a more resilient Mediterranean agriculture, has been organised on Tuesday 23rd of May 2023 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.(CET).
It was organised in the context of the International Compost Awareness Week. This was a back-to-back event to the 4th UfM Working Group on Environment and Climate Action.

MedSNAIL in Spain showcases a typical type of honey from Andalusia: the Meloja of Benahadux
The “meloja” is one of the flagship products selected by the Andalusian Federation of Municipalities and Provinces (FAMP) from the Andarax Valley (Almería), MedSNAIL pilot area in Andalusia. This product is being promoted within the framework of the project through its inclusion in the Slow Food’s Ark of Taste.
REUSEMED showcased its results to promote the culture of reuse at its final event in Cordoba, Spain
The two-year long project and its conclusions were presented during an unforgettable morning at the Visitors Reception Center of Cordoba. The famous Andalusian city hosted during the first week of May (3rd and 4th) the final event REUSEMED project, an initiative promoted in four cities in Spain, Italy, Tunisia and Jordan and co-funded by by the ENI CBC Med programme. The aim of the proejct was to promote the culture of reuse.
