The NEX-LABS summer school that took place in the Lebanese Bekaa region, at Massabki Hotel, Chtaura from the 27th of June to the 1st of July provided new business perspectives to NEXUS innovators, created potential collaborations across borders in the Mediterranean, and helped the entrepreneurs develop their entrepreneurial mindset and relevant skills to successfully launch and grow their business. 

The program was attended by 14 teams, out of which six were from Lebanon, three from Egypt, two from Jordan, one from Tunisia, one from Cyprus, and one team from Spain. 

MEDWAYCAP partners finally met all together in Thessaloniki last December 2021 to debate on the different point of views to achieve our common goals, to compare details about “definitions” (what we mean by non-conventional water?) but also to translate into words, commitment, needs and “call to action” for the stakeholders. This short video clip was produced to quickly disseminate what is the ideas behind the project (also the needs and reasons) and to share our plans in order to contribute to this important cause and “Mediterranean” challenge.

More than 20 textile and fashion companies from 7 Mediterranean countries (Palestine, Greece, Italy, Spain, Egypt, Jordan, and Tunisia) gathered in Amman to showcase the new sustainable Mediterranean fashion represented by the TheMedNew brand.

In between 5-6 April 2022, the SME4SMARTCITIES project held its first commercial mission in Genoa, Italy and a couple of testimonials from the involved SMEs were captured in this video.

A compilation of testimonials from several SMEs that participated in the commercial mission organised by the SME4SMARTCITIES in Israel, between 9-10 May 2022.

The event included fun activities to raise awareness of composting among all age groups and served to combat the lack of knowledge about composting among the citizens of Cordoba.

Mirna Gharbi Dit Kacem, researcher of MEDIWAT project, was inteviewed during the 4^th Mediterranean Water Forum. The Forum, that took place in Malta from 6^th to 8^th December 2022, has been organized by Water&Energy Agency of Malta, Institut Méditerranéen de l’Eau  and Union for the Mediterranean.

Technology companies met on Wednesday 18th of May for three days in Malaga to learn about the challenge of electric mobility presented by the Innovation Department of the Malaga City Council and about the challenge of smart parking for people with reduced mobility presented by four cities in the Region of Murcia: Murcia, Cartagena, Molina de Segura, and Yecla. The SMEs also presented their proposals to solve these challenges.
