The National Agricultural Research Center, Jordanian partner of the MENAWARA project, participated in two important activities for disseminating the project results between November and December.
In Amman the 21st National Olive Festival connected producers and consumers with the participation of 500 women from rural areas, owners of oil presses and associations that produce traditional food and handicrafts. The project team from Jordan participated in the festival by poster and presentations for one week. Dr Nabeel Bani Hany participated in daily lecture regarding the water management in Jordan and the role of MENAWARA project in using the treated wastewater in agriculture for the students from five Universities (Jordan University, Balqa, Hashemite, Jarach and Jordan University of Science and Technology) with about 60 students each day. Dr Naem Mazahrih presented the smart agriculture and water saving lecture for the festival visitors in the scientific seminars session, describing the MENAWARA activities in Jordan for the farmers and stakeholders. Eng. Mohammad Abu Hammad presented the Web Application systems and Smart mobile application describing the MENAWARA project targets as example.
Previously Dr. Naem Mazahrih presented the MENAWARA activity “Impact of Reclaimed  Wastewater on Alfalfa Crops production Under Different irrigation Systems” to the IC-SEWEN21, International Conference on sustainable energy-water-environment nexus in Desert climate 2021, organized by the Qatar Environment and Energy Research Institute. Over 300 researchers, scientists, engineers, and stakeholders attended the Conference Helded online from November 22-25.
