Representatives of the local government of Anabta, a municipality in the governorate of Tulkarem, in Palestine, and representatives of the Palestinian Technical University - Kadoorie, organized a conference in early April to explain the local benefits of the implementation of the DECOST pilot activity in the locality.
Italy: INNOMED-UP project boost circular economy in creative and cultural industries of the Prato area
The municipality of Prato, partner of the INNOMED-UP project, has assigned vouchers worth €40,000 to 6 companies in the Prato area, financed by the ENI CBC MED Programme for cross-border cooperation in the Mediterranean.
The projects carried out over a 5-month period ended in April and addressed the issues of circularity in the creative and cultural industry clusters.
CEOMED in Spain published a new scientific paper on the quality of fertiliser produced from fruit and vegetable waste
Last November (2022), the National Council of Scientific Research (CSIC)), one of the Spanish partners of CEOMED, uploaded one scientific article to the Journal of Soil Science and Plant Nutrition that it is already available on the Springer Link website. The article is named: "Carbon and Nitrogen Mineralisation in Soils and Nutrient Efficiency of Digestates from Fruit and Vegetable Wastes".
FISH MED NET in Palestine supports fishermen to implement fish cooling rooms
The Economic and Social Development Centre (ESDC), Palestinian partner of FISH MED NET has recently signed a sub-grant agreement with the Al-Tawfiq Association for Fishermen and the Ministry of Agriculture in Palestine, providing a grant of 30,000 euros to support the rehabilitation and development of fish cooling rooms in the Gaza Strip.
