B.4.1: Support sustainable initiatives targeting innovative and technological solutions to increase water efficiency and encourage use of non-conventional water supply
The project aims to utilize the waste produced through surface water purification for drinking water production by applying the four Rs' concept.
There are several pathways for the application of the project include studying the recycling in the water and wastewater treatment facilities. Moreover, the use of this waste in environmental remediation to treat environmental problems especially in El-Behera (the city of the study) which suffers from extreme environmental pollution especially in surface water. That will help in reducing the stress on the Mediterranean basin and help increase the water reuse efficiency.

Applying capacity building and awareness raising sessions for the stakeholders and decision-makers to improve their understanding of the problems and solutions.
Reporting and finalizing the concluding remarks, recommendations, and proposed policies and integration to the current strategic plans.
