Zero waste in the Mediterranean: MED-InA project starts !

Imagine a city with 35% more sorted waste and 90% of the citizens are opting for more eco-responsible behaviors... This is possible thanks to the GD6D method, a coaching method for local authorities and their citizens developed by the French company E3D-Environnement.

After having coached more than 150,000 households in Europe, E3D-Environment is launching the MED-INA project alongside 7 Mediterranean partners: the Agency for Sustainable Mediterranean Cities and Territories (FR), the American University of Beirut (LB), the Municipality of Irbid (JO), the Jordan University of Science and Technology (JO), the Municipality of Marsa (MEGARA Network, TN) and the Consorci La Ribera (SP).

But, what is MED-InA? A 2M€ European project funded by the ENI CBC Med program, which aims at implementing a "Zero Waste" strategy in 3 municipalities: Irbid in Jordan, La Marsa in Tunisia and the selected municipality within the Ribera Region in Spain by:

• Coaching citizens towards more responsible behaviors;
• Coaching municipalities towards the implementation of "Zero Waste" management plans;
• Coaching circular economy start-ups in the development of local and innovative solutions.
