U-SOLVE project has successfully concluded its official activities through a comprehensive two-day event on the 29th and 30th of November 2023. This event encompassed the final project meeting of the U-SOLVE six partner countries : Italy Egypt, Cyprus, Palestine, Jordan and Greece,  as well as the highly anticipated U-SOLVE Open Workshop. These two days mark the culmination of the project's transnational events, signifying an important milestone.

On the first day, all partners came together in a virtual setting to engage in fruitful discussions regarding the final stages of the project. They addressed any remaining deliverables and diligently worked towards finalizing pending tasks. This collaborative effort ensured that all loose ends were tied up, paving the way for a successful conclusion to the U-SOLVE project.

The second day of the event was the U-SOLVE open workshop, which aimed to create a model for sustainable urban development by fostering innovative entrepreneurship and addressing sustainable development challenges. The workshop started with opening remarks from the Joint Technical Secretariat of ENI CBC MED Programme about U-SOLVE project. It reached more than 50 participants, focused on showcasing the accomplishments of 28 out of the 30 sub-grantees involved in the project. Each participant had the opportunity to present their respective projects and showcase the progress they made with the invaluable support provided by U-SOLVE. This platform allowed successful speakers to share valuable insights, inspiring thoughts, and moderate engaging panel discussions.

Keynote speakers were invited from each partner country to talk about the main thematic areas of the sub-granted projects

  • Circular Economy
  • Green Energy
  • Urban Sustainable Transition
  • Water and Food Management

In addition to the main keynote speaker in the event, Dr. Francesca Spagnoli, Head of Capacity Building & International Project Manager at ENoLL (European Network of Living Labs) gave a speech on "Living Labs: A Pathway to Sustainable Urban Futures."

It is worth noting that the U-SOLVE project will officially reach its end on December 14, 2023. The completion of this project not only marks the end of a remarkable journey but also celebrates the achievements and growth experienced by the participants under the guidance of U-SOLVE.

Overall, U-SOLVE project's final project meeting and open workshop were resounding successes, bringing together dedicated partners and showcasing the remarkable outcomes of their collaborative efforts.
